Wilmot Cattle Co has an ethos of innovation and a desire to restore the Australian landscape under our stewardship.
________
We are making a contribution to reversing climate change by taking carbon out of the atmosphere and storing it in our landscapes. We hope that our story will inspire and empower others to make regenerative changes to their businesses, for the benefit of their communities and the landscapes they manage.
Founded in 2008 with the purchase of Wilmot, outside Ebor in northern NSW, the business now spans four properties across the New England region. Woodburn, between Uralla and Walcha, was purchased in 2011 Morocco, north east of Gunnedah, in 2019, and Paradise Creek, south east of Inverell, in 2022. The four properties operate collaboratively with a mix of breeding, trading and natural grass finishing enterprises.
Our vision is to grow a profitable livestock business that is enhancing the ecology of our landscapes, developing our people, and positively impacting our community.
________
A global increase of just 0.4% of soil organic carbon would be enough to offset the amount of carbon humanity emits in a year.*
